Olivia Bloomstudio
How it started

A spreadsheet, three rentals, and one good linen sofa.

Before the studio, I worked in interiors PR, the kind of job where you see the same five sofas in every magazine and quietly wonder which one actually holds up. So I started keeping a spreadsheet.

Pieces I'd specified for clients, what I'd put in my own apartment, what I'd regretted within the year. Materials, real prices, lead times, who really makes it. By the third rental I'd lived through, the spreadsheet had become the thing I was most often asked to share at dinner parties.

Olivia Bloom Studio is that spreadsheet, opened up to anyone who's tired of being sold to in twelve carousels a day.

What changed

What changed wasn't the rooms. It was the way I was choosing things. Slower. With five non-negotiables instead of a Pinterest board. The stylebook is the system that came out of that, distilled into something anyone can use in a Saturday afternoon.

The stylebook mission

Five principles we won't trade away.

Pinned to the studio wall. The guardrails for every guide, every comparison, every product we link out to.

  1. 01

    Honest, not algorithmic

If we recommend it, we'd buy it again. Affiliate links are disclosed; opinions aren't sponsored.

  2. 02

    Fewer, better choices

Three picks beat thirty. Every guide answers the question instead of widening it.

  3. 03

    Materials before brands

Kiln-dried hardwood, oiled oak, washed linen. We start with the material; the label is the last filter.

  4. 04

    Built for the rental years

We test pieces in real rentals, small, leased, occasionally beige. Most of you live in rentals too.

  5. 05

    Slow updates, not feeds

One letter on Sunday, one stylebook update each season. Nothing more, on purpose.
